Your mission

As General Manager Advanced Trading (Fusion), you will own the strategic direction, commercial growth, operational excellence, and platform evolution of our advanced trading ecosystem. Fusion is the high-performance core that delivers institutional-grade trading capabilities to retail customers and professional traders alike across web and mobile environments.

You will combine product strategy, trading expertise, and technology leadership to ensure Fusion differentiates Bitpanda as a best-in-class platform within the European market. Your North Star is driving sustainable trading activity, deep customer engagement, and trading-related revenue growth. You will build the overarching product vision, scale the advanced trading business, and unlock immense long-term customer value.

What you'll do

• Define and execute the long-term strategic vision and platform strategy across all supported asset classes, ensuring consistency and scalability across crypto, equities, commodities, and derivatives.
• Own the Fusion value proposition end-to-end, defining the exact positioning, acquisition, engagement, and retention strategies for active traders, advanced retail investors, and professional customers.
• Own the complete web and mobile platform experience, driving continuous improvements in usability, discoverability, customization, portfolio visibility, and advanced trading workflows.
• Partner closely with Engineering leadership on trading infrastructure strategy to guarantee high availability, low latency, speed, and absolute operational resilience.
• Support critical architecture decisions and platform stability processes that enable institutional-grade execution quality and long-term growth.
• Own the prioritization and evolution of all Fusion-specific features, driving innovation in advanced tooling, analytics, automation, and professional functionality.
• Drive commercial performance and revenue growth, monitoring and optimizing key performance indicators including trading volume, active traders, retention, and customer lifetime value (CLV).
• Lead, inspire, and scale a high-performing multidisciplinary organization spanning Product, Engineering, Design, Operations, and Trading-related functions.
• Ensure all advanced trading activities operate strictly within regulatory frameworks, collaborating with Compliance, Risk, Legal, and Operations teams to balance functionality with customer protection.
• Represent the advanced trading ecosystem within executive leadership discussions, driving long-term investment, strategic alignment, and prioritization decisions directly with our CEO.

• Extensive Trading & Fintech Leader: You bring substantial leadership experience navigating trading platforms, fintech, brokerage, exchange infrastructure, or investment technology environments while successfully leading multidisciplinary, cross-functional organizations.
• Market Structure & Infrastructure Expert: You possess a deep understanding of advanced trading systems, execution platforms, market infrastructure, and the scalable technical architectures that ensure platform reliability.
• Trader-Obsessed: You have deep customer and trader empathy, combined with an intimate understanding of active trader behavior and complex professional trading workflows.
• Commercially & Analytically Minded: You have a high ownership, outcome-oriented mentality with a proven track record of managing and scaling complex, revenue-generating financial products.
• Pragmatic & Resilient Decision-Maker: You thrive in high-pressure, fast-moving environments, combining sharp strategic prioritization with a hands-on delivery mindset that seamlessly balances innovation with operational discipline.
• Regulated Environment Native: You are highly experienced in operating within regulated financial environments and can confidently navigate compliance, legal, and operational risk frameworks.
